"Supporting SKMB Churches and Camps in making disciples."

900+

It is hard to believe that the summer has come to a close. During the nine weeks of camp this summer we ran 20 camp programs, hosted over 900 campers and barbecued approximately 3000 burgers. It was an incredible summer!

God’s faithfulness was evident as we look back on summer.

• One week before summer we still did not have a lifeguard. We serve a God of the eleventh hour and during that week he provided an incredible lifeguard who fit perfectly into our staff team right away.

• We had the more requests for camper sponsorships than we have ever had and God provided over $8500 in donations to send kids to camp through our sponsorship program. We were able to send 49 campers to camp this summer through the sponsorship program.

• Each week campers came from various cultural, economic and spiritual backgrounds. God's truth that we shared was met with questions, apathy, excitement and hostility. No matter how campers reacted, we watched as God worked in their hearts throughout the week. Even during our two-day camp, a cabin leader spoke of how he noticed a change in one of his campers from one day to the next.

• Many of our summer staff members were new in their leadership roles. Throughout the summer they experience failures and successes, allowing them to dive further into their relationship with Jesus.

These are just a few examples of how we experienced God’s character and saw His work this summer. We look forward to this year knowing that God will continue to provide for Redberry, using camp to build His kingdom for His glory.

MB Survey

The leadership of the national and provincial conferences believes that the Lord is moving in profound and powerful ways in our family of churches.  Although we find ourselves in a season of significant change, we are encouraged by how He is leading the Canadian MB Family.  We are committed to serving together better.
