After the revival conference in Regina (June 28-30), the mission trip to Europe began on July 18th. Several meetings with church leaders took place in the city of Hameenlinna, Finland. I also visited several churches in France before and after my work in Finland. The bishop from Tanzania and I met in Paris on July 19th. On Saturday, July 20th we preached to people from different churches in Lyon, France and many were spiritually renewed. One Muslim lady received Jesus. It was amazing to see how thankful people were to hear the word of God. There was a great joy that was left in people’s hearts. On July 21st I preached in the Pentecost church in Paris. Thirty believers attended and were encouraged. We stayed in Paris for three days until we departed for Finland.
We reached Finland on July 23rd and at the Airport were received with a warm welcome by the pastors and church members. The conference began on Friday 26th with the seminar of leaders. There were three main speakers: two from Canada and one from Tanzania. I taught them about the character and conduct of the servant of God (2 Timothy 2:14-15). The presence of the Lord was there and we prayed for faithfulness as ambassadors and witnesses of Christ. After that all attendees were welcomed and the conference was opened. On Saturday (July 27th) there was preaching and different choirs praising God. On Sunday of the Finnish people and Africans gathered together. I preached in Swahili which was translated in Finnish. People were blessed and there was restoration of faith; many people came to repentance. The Holy Spirit told me to call all young people forward and to pray for them and I obeyed. After the prayer, one young man who drove us from the church to the hotel testified that it was the will of God for him to be in the service because of those prayers. The lady sitting behind me in the church called me and said, “God bless you, pastor. My son came to me and said that the Holy Spirit spoke to him as you preached.” After the service, many people had prayer requests. After supper, we continued to pray for them until late in the day. On Monday we were taken to Helsinki, the Capital City of Finland.
On August 2nd we left Finland for Rouen, France. Over several days and events in Rouen, I could see how people have a thirst and hunger to hear the Word of God and need prayers for their problems. Many of these believers in Europe need Jesus for their problems. As the goal of the Global Gospel Advance, many leaders were encouraged with my visitation.
In Regina, Mission Pentecostal Church (MPC) is doing well. The leadership and church committees are serving faithfully. We have about twenty young people doing praise and worship. MPC women continue to visit newcomers and those in need. We had a baptism of two believers in July and others continue to come to the church. We have a growing fellowship. There is a plan to change the service schedule and move from the gym to the Sanctuary. This will help MPC members use the screen for singing and reading the scriptures during the service.
I want to thank Pastor Mike and all the PCC leaders who continue to support the MPC to make it grow and conduct its services. I also want to express my appreciation to Pastor Phil for his encouragement to me and the support from SKMB for myself and the Global Gospel Advance to achieve the goal of reaching the African diaspora from the Great Lakes. I thank also pastor Doug for the support from Multiply. God bless the SKMB community and its good leadership.
I am planning to make a trip to Africa in 2025. I want to have time with the MPC community until then. I will visit two SKMB churches in the fall: Woodrow Gospel Church and Kelstern Community Church.
Prayer Requests
- My health and I need wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit.
- Pray for peace in Congo, which is always at war
- Pray for the revival and unity of the church of Christ in the world.

Cabin 12
In the rustic chapel at West Bank Bible Camp near Swift Current, Saskatchewan, a special event unfolded on September 14, 2024. It was a beautiful morning, the sunny, warm kind, nestled between summer's end and fall's early beginnings. Some seventy family and friends of Cassidy Grimm came to the camp to participate in the dedication of cabin 12, which had become known unofficially as Cassidy’s cabin.

An Interview with Erica Boschman, Associate Pastor of Care at River West Christian Church (Edmonton, AB)
Thank you! It is good to talk with you about this. Though I worry about being the “token” woman because that has been an experience I’ve had. But I also know that visibility leads to possibility. A lot of women with leadership skills don’t think they could potentially enter into pastoral ministry because they’ve never seen it modelled.
