MESSAGE HIGHLIGHTS:
ROD SCHELLENBERG
Discussion question: “Should Christians be known in their neighbourhoods as those who have the best parties?”
Theology of enjoyment
God has blessed us with good things to celebrate, so celebrate them!
We were created to enjoy AND share God’s good things.
The kingdom of God includes celebration and enjoyment of God’s goodness as a part of its story.
“Some people party to forget, Christians celebrate to remember…to remember the goodness of God.”
MESSAGE HIGHLIGHTS:
MATT EWERT
“The church is to be the voice that says to our dark broken world: “Look up! Look to Jesus!” Unless people ‘look up’ they will remain lost. We should be shouting the name of Jesus from the rooftops – declaring the exalted Christ.”
When we look up to Jesus on the cross, we see both curse and grace – evil and good – death and life.
Above all the good things the church can be doing in the world, paramount is telling people to look at the cross
