"Supporting SKMB Churches and Camps in making disciples."

Soar Saskatchewan

West Portal Church hosted us as we worshiped, studied the Bible, grew in relationship, served, and prayed together. Over the 10 day program, we saw God at work as He challenged and called people to live out the call to mission in their every day lives. As we sought God together, we experienced what Christ-centered community is like and learned about his love for the church. Participants were impacted by the various speakers, and it was encouraging to see the way that they incorporated that learning into their various ministries and team dynamics. From a place of being attentive to God’s leading, teams went out and partnered with 6 local ministries, working alongside them and learning about what God is doing in Saskatoon. We were excited to continue our partnerships with local ministries such as The Bridge, Friendship Inn, The Lighthouse, House for all Nations, and Central Haven, as well as develop a new partnership with Cosmopolitan Industries. One of the purposes of SOAR is to help participants see God at work locally and to help them grow in their love for the people that are right in front of them. SOAR functions as an orientation to life on mission, it does not just end when SOAR is over. Our desire is to see God transform our lives so that we can go out and be a part of God’s transformation in our homes, churches, schools, and cities.
