Lean In

SKMB’s provincial gospel impact depends on the Holy Spirit, obedience to the Great Commission and the Great Commandment, and our family of churches and camps leaning into our collective mission of making disciples. No church or camp can go it alone; we need each other. The Holy Spirit is working every day to unite us on mission, and we need to join him in that endeavour. “That they may be one,” was Jesus’ prayer (John 17:11).
There are several tangible ways that individuals and member churches can genuinely lean in to our collective mission of “Supporting SKMB churches and camps in making disciples.”
- Pray for our SKMB provincial leaders, the Director of Ministry and Leadership Development. Pray for our unity and passion for the mission.
- Send workers for our Executive Board and Ministry Teams. We need one person in each of these three important ministry teams: Faith & Life, Developing Leaders and Ministry Support.
- Give generously to our operation and strategic investment budgets. Do you have the capacity to increase your giving in 2026? Every dollar counts.
- Attend Assembly and other SKMB gathering events. All pastors, directors, and church or camp leadership should attend. Assembly 2026 is March 27-28 in Saskatoon.
- Communicate our work through the various media channels we use: website, newsletter, videos, and special emails.
- Invite our Director of Ministry to visit your church or camp. Have him share our mission and work. Invite him to a leadership meeting or special event. Allow him to hear your mission and work. Here is a great opportunity to collaborate for greater mission impact.
SKMB exists because member churches decided it was an important means to support one another provincially, to inspire one another onto mission and to collaborate on bigger ventures than any one member church could achieve. We invite you to lean in and watch what God will do through us.
