What are the principles that guide us in supporting SKMB churches and camps?
- We believe God works through SKMB churches and camps and we exist to support them
- We desire servant leadership to shape our supporting role
- We look to the Holy Bible, the Holy Spirit and our Confession of Faith guide us
- We seek God’s will in prayer
- We see our work as Gospel-centered
- We understand that our decisions are set within the framework of our Act, Constitution, Bylaws and Governance Manual.

Our partner churches and camps, are a community of faith called the SKMB who worship ONE God. We serve ONE Lord. We are a community of faith who proclaim ONE gospel, a gospel that points to ONE cross, ONE means of forgiveness of sins, ONE empty tomb and ONE resurrection to eternal life. We are a community of faith who receive our gifting and power from ONE Holy Spirit. We are called to work with God in building ONE Kingdom.
How do we support SKMB Churches and Camps?
- We provide resources that better equip churches and camps to fulfill the mission.
- We provide a hub for relevant and timely communication to inform and inspire churches and camps in the mission.
- We provide pastors, church workers and camp directors with pastoral care and other tangible programs of support as they fulfill the mission.
- We provide theological and confessional watch care.
- We serve as a voice for unity and cooperation.
- We serve as a voice for Saskatchewan, Canadian and global mission opportunities.

Ministry Targets
- Pray for churches, camps and their staff daily.
- Respond to phone calls, emails and written correspondence within expediency.
- Actively listen to your inquiries or concerns.
- Ensure that Conference resources are offered and explained.
- Devote the time needed to ensure you have the support required for your church or camp.
- Follow-up on your initial inquiry or concern within one week asking if you need further help.
- Regularly contact your church or camp.
- Personally visit your church or camp once a year.
- Provide timely and relevant updates from the provincial and Canadian MB offices.
- Once a year ask you how we did in meeting these ministry targets.

The Gift of Grief
The COVID pandemic days are thankfully in the rearview mirror — but would you believe me if I told you there is still an epidemic in our world?
This epidemic I’m talking about is grief: from the death of loved ones, broken relationships, lost dreams, lost jobs, sickness. No matter how hard we try to avoid or ignore it, we will all encounter grief at some point in our lives. And the problem is, no one wants to talk about it.
