Personal Update

God is always faithful to me and my family. Our family in Canada is doing well. In April, Beata and I visited our daughter Ruth and her family in Australia. I was also able to minister in several churches in Melbourne. I thank God for his traveling mercies.

It’s been estimated that in the next 10 years, 9,000 churches will be closing their doors for the last time. We take comfort in the reality that Jesus builds His church, that He is faithful and that nothing can stop His mission from advancing.

Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?

I watch a lot of Major League Baseball; the Toronto Blue Jays are my team. A good number of the Blue Jay players wear crosses and routinely engage in the Catholic practice of ‘crossing’ themselves. Both of these provide some level of testimony that God plays a role in their personal and professional lives. It is common practice for some of these elite ball players to make a gesture of thanks and praise to God when they accomplish a good hit, crossing themselves and raising a hand to the heavens.

Seeking Renewal and Revival

2024 Conference of African Diaspora Churches

From June 28 -30, some 200 members of Canadian diaspora churches met at Parliament Community Church (Regina). SKMB congregations Mission Pentecostal Church (Regina) and Carmel Pentecostal Church (Saskatoon) hosted the three-day event, while SKMB, Multiply and ABMB sponsored it. The purpose of the gathering was to inspire spiritual renewal and revival.
