MESSAGE HIGHLIGHTS:
ROD SCHELLENBERG
Discussion question: “Should Christians be known in their neighbourhoods as those who have the best parties?”
Theology of enjoyment
- God has blessed us with good things to celebrate, so celebrate them!
- We were created to enjoy AND share God’s good things.
- The kingdom of God includes celebration and enjoyment of God’s goodness as a part of its story.
“Some people party to forget, Christians celebrate to remember…to remember the goodness of God.”
MESSAGE HIGHLIGHTS:
MATT EWERT
“The church is to be the voice that says to our dark broken world: “Look up! Look to Jesus!” Unless people ‘look up’ they will remain lost. We should be shouting the name of Jesus from the rooftops – declaring the exalted Christ.”
When we look up to Jesus on the cross, we see both curse and grace – evil and good – death and life.
Above all the good things the church can be doing in the world, paramount is telling people to look at the cross
