Rev. Doug Hacking began ministry at Riverbend Fellowship (Borden) on March 1st. Doug and Gwen Hacking have shared in pastoral ministry for the past fifteen years. Doug was born and raised in B.C. and spent twenty-five years with the RCMP in Saskatchewan. Gwen was born in Saskatchewan and worked with the Justice Department. God has called them both out of ‘Law to Grace.’ Doug served as pastor at New Life Community Church (Naicam) since 2012 and is a graduate of Horizon College & Seminary. The Hackings have been married for forty-five years, have three daughters and six grandchildren. Both share a deep love for God and serving their Lord and Saviour. “We look forward with anticipation to what God has in store for us as we pursue relationship with Him.”

The Sun Stopped Shining

When things went dark, God prevailed.

On April 8, 2024, millions of people from around the world watched a total solar eclipse of the sun. Many traveled to place themselves in the Path of Totality where they would experience the moon completely blocking the light from the sun. It was an event of a lifetime for all.
