Praying for revival in Saskatchewan
Throughout history and across the globe the kingdom of God has advanced dramatically by special outpourings of the Holy Spirit. These outpourings, often referred to as “awakenings”, “revivals”, or “renewals” produced faithful disciples in quantities and with lasting effects which can exceed the imagination of those who have not witnessed them first-hand. When God chooses to move, he can achieve more with one stroke of his hand than purely human labour can achieve in one hundred years. It is well documented (and still remembered by many) that a “revival” took place in Saskatoon around 1971 during which many people came to Christ, many repented, and many were called into ministry/missions. My Grandfather, having pastored in Saskatoon during this movement, and my parents, having grown up in Saskatoon during this time, raised me on the stories of revival and its effects.
In November of 2025, having only been a Worship Pastor in Saskatoon for two and a half years, I felt a burden on my heart to invite people to pray for God to bring revival again to the city that I loved and served. Initially, I invited my fellow MB pastors and their peers in the city of Saskatoon. We met once at hope Fellowship, and again at Faith River Christian Fellowship. From there, I scheduled a meeting for the first Wednesday of every month and expanded the invitation to anyone in the MB conference who has a heart for prayer and wants to see God move in dramatic ways. My focus on the MB conference and on Saskatoon was not meant to be exclusive so much as it was to be intentional and focused. My hope is that our MB churches would collectively contend for our cities and province in prayer, and that God would show us how we can participate in his work of revival.

For the past five years, Redberry Bible Camp has had the privilege of welcoming families from the new-to-Canada Ukrainian community for a family camp. What began in 2022 as a desire to help families find community, experience Canadian culture, and enjoy Saskatchewan’s outdoors has grown into a weekend we look forward to each year.

One Day At A Time
I was recently at the funeral of a family friend. Robert was a godly Christian man, full of wisdom and Christlike character. During the pastor’s meditation, he stated that Robert lived out his faith—his love for Jesus—without gaps.
